Nature in Blue + JORD Watch Review & Giveaway!

I’ve been so inspired by the beauty of nature as it transitions into Fall. The weather is starting to get chilly, the tree colors are changing, and the sun is setting earlier than usual. I decided to create a look that really reflected my idea of “floral meets edgy,” and this is a style I can totally dig until the winter season! Plus, continue reading for a surprise for all my readers!

​Starting with the wedge booties, this item is a huge staple in my fall shoe collection! They have a slight pointy toe shape that helps elongate the legs. Being 5′ 3”, I need all the illusional height I can get! Also, the chunky width and height of the wedges are incredibly comfortable to walk. I love how the open heel of the wedges make the look casual, and the classic design of the shoe is perfect for all seasons! Although my Lucky Brand wedge booties are out of stock, you can shop their amazing boot collection here.I adore this blue, floral midi skirt from a local marketplace in Manila. The colors are so vibrant, that it really makes any outfit look like a standout! I love how it is a high rise skirt, so it’s “crop top” friendly too! The pleating in the skirt is very flattering for most body types, especially for anyone who desires to create a more hourglass shape. Although the print of the skirt is more appropriate for Spring, I made the skirt Fall appropriate with leather pairings. Again, my skirt is not found online or in stores, so here is a similar piece to achieve the same look.

For the top, I wore a black crop top with a classic cut that looks great underneath any outerwear for the Fall season. I love how it is also sleeveless, so I never have to worry about feeling sweaty from the Texas heat! I tucked the crop top inside my skirt (yes, my torso is really short), in order to show the waist band of the skirt. I recently found a similar piece here at Forever 21 that has glorious seaming for a fraction of my crop top’s price.My leather vest is a newfound favorite for this Fall season! I absolutely adore the zipper detailing and the slouchy fit. To me, this piece is what brings out the edgy vibes to this outfit. I love that it can make me look rocker chic, even with a bright, colored skirt. The best part about this leather vest is that it is faux, so anyone can feel good wearing it. Lastly, I finished off the look with a JORD wood watch. Although this watch brand has been featured all over Instagram, I was unsure as to how often I would wear it since I don’t normally wear jewelry or watches. However, I have honestly been wearing mine every day since I received it in the mail. Most days, I prefer pairing my watch with bangles for a classic “arm candy” look.When I received the package in the mail, I immediately admired the sleek wood box packaging. I love how you can easily slide open the box to retrieve the watch- very unique! When I first looked at the watch, I was relieved to see that it was exactly how it looked like online. I specifically chose the Frankie Series Zebrawood & Champagne watch ($189 USD) because of its minimalistic design and timeless watch face shape. When I first wore it, the slim wooden straps feel so lightweight on my arm! The only thing I would say is that because my wrists are extremely tiny (5.5 in wrist size), and it does slide on my arm. It does not slip off of my wrist, but if you have the same wrist size as me, do keep in mind that it is not a tight fit.  The simplistic clock design is great for telling time on the go, and I also appreciated how it is powered by Swiss Movement.

When I was inspecting the wood to see whether or not it was actually real, and I’m happy to say that the texture and wooden coloration of the straps are 100% natural wood.
