It feels like it was just yesterday when I first visited Tokyo DisneySea early this year. Looking back to my first visit in Tokyo, I knew I would want to come back to Japan again. The beautiful scenery, hi-tech wonder, and thrilling atmosphere of the country makes Tokyo my favorite city in the world. This time around, I knew I couldn’t pass another opportunity to visit Tokyo Disney. Tokyo Disney is considerably one of the most renowned Disney parks in the world. Because Tokyo Disney has two different parks, I decided to check out the ocean-themed park, Tokyo DisneySea.
In fact, Tokyo DisneySea is the only ocean-themed Disney park in the world. They have 7-themed ports inside the park that showcase anything and everything about the underwater ocean, such as the Mermaid Lagoon, American Water Post, Lost River Delta, and many more! Disney characters from The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Aladdin appear all over the park area. When talking to my friend (who’s based in Tokyo), she also said that Tokyo DisneySea has attractions and features that are one-of-a-kind to its park and can’t be found anywhere else in Disney. With that being said, I realized that you can find a lot of things to do in Tokyo DisneySea!

After spending the entire day at Tokyo DisneySea, I realized that there are huge differences between visiting Tokyo Disney and visiting Disney World and Disneyland. And because so many travel enthusiasts have been visiting Japan every year, I want to share my quick tips in things you should consider when traveling to Tokyo DisneySea!
3 Things to Consider When You Visit Tokyo DisneySea
1. Visiting Tokyo DisneySea is a lot cheaper than most Disney themed parks. You will be SO surprised at the price of spending one day at Tokyo DisneySea! For adults, it is only 7, 400 yen each, which is approximately 74 US dollars per ticket. If you compare it to the ticket prices for Disneyland and Disney World, the tickets are $109 for each adult ticket. Despite the fact that people say Japan is an expensive country to visit, I would say that Tokyo DisneySea is the affordable Disney park to visit. So, if you’re ever in Japan, I would say that Tokyo Disney is a great place to check out!
2. Adults may find this park more entertaining than Tokyo Disney Land. When speaking to my friend (who’s based in Tokyo), she mentioned how Tokyo DisneySea is a more suitable choice for adults to visit in comparison to Tokyo Disney Land. After my visit, I have to agree. Tokyo DisneySea has a lot of action-thrilling rides versus Tokyo Disney Land. Plus, there is a wider range in rides from each port. Because Tokyo DisneySea is a bigger park than Tokyo Disney Land, I would recommend visiting DisneySea, especially if your company is older.
3. Tokyo DisneySea is a one day affair. If you’re visiting Tokyo DisneySea for the first time, you need to spend the entire day at Tokyo DisneySea! The crazy amount of attractions make it full of entertainment to make it a day’s expense. Plus, it would be wise to arrive at the park during the opening hour to avoid huge crowds and long lines. My favorite rides at the park? Check out the Tower of Terror, Big Thunder Mountain, and Toy Story Mania!
