My heart feels heavy writing this blog post since so much is going on in our world right now. When I traveled to Costa Rica back in January, it was a moment that was full of so much bliss and joy. From swimming in infinity pools 24/7 and lounging in colorful swimsuits all day, I truly felt the pura vida! Those days feel like a far cry to my current lifestyle at home, which consists of me washing my hands 24/7 and wearing my jammies all day every day. This unexpected change have left me feeling so uncertain about my blog business, my personal life, and how I will be able to maintain my way of living. If you only knew the emotional highs and lows I have dealt within the past few weeks, then you could probably understand why I couldn’t post on my blog last month. But, I’ll leave it at that.
While I am currently practicing self-isolation and social distancing, I feel this great desire to pick up my laptop today and help you (and myself) mentally escape from this pandemic right now. If there’s one thing I have learned about this beautiful trip, it’s that life is meant to be happily lived. Turning 27 and attending my cousin’s wedding while I was in Costa Rica was literally the best 2 in 1 vacation I have ever experienced. I found myself embracing every single moment of my time with my family, and I reconnected so much with nature. In a way, I felt like God started my year visiting Costa Rica to prepare me for the life changes I’m dealing with today. It was an experience that made me realize how much the small, simple life joys mattered.
If there’s one thing I have learned about this beautiful trip, it’s that life is meant to be happily lived.
Today, I finally want to share with you photos from my Costa Rica trip. I hope that by posting this, you can understand where my heart is coming from: This is not me endorsing people to travel right now. Rather, I hope this post comforts you as I share the beauty of this dreamy country. Why? Because I believe that joy and happiness is even more contagious.

These photos take me away! I agree with your thoughts, I think people are missing what travel brings in our lives – the learning, the experiences, the new cultures so I wouldn’t feel apprehensive about sharing your travel pics. At the same time, everyone is pulling together to do their part in social distancing and it’s a small sacrifice for the long term. Again, beautiful photos!
