One of my favorite Starbucks drinks to order is the Pink Drink. While it the recipe was originally a secret off-the-menu order in 2016, it became so popular, Starbucks ended up making it an official menu item in 2017! Besides the fact that my favorite color is pink, I actually love the blend of coconut milk and strawberry together. It’s a refreshing taste for a spring and summer season! With the extra days spent at home, I decided to figure out an easy way to remake the the Starbucks Pink Drink in less than 5 minutes!
This recipe idea actually originated from these YouTube videos ( #1 and #2). However, I made a few modifications that made the recipe work for my taste preference. After making the Pink Drink recipe over the past week, I personally enjoy making this drink on my own because I can easily manipulate the amount of sugar and strawberry flavoring in comparison to ordering the drink.
I also find that the recipe I made has a more authentic strawberry flavoring than the original Starbucks Pink Drink. If you want to find out my version of this popular Starbucks drink item, keep reading to learn more!
Easy Way to Remake the Starbucks Pink Drink in Less than 5 Minutes
Ingredients
I realized that a lot of my ingredients for the recipe came from Kroger, however, I ended up finding alternative ingredients online that would also work for the recipe. If you want to know the exact brand items, I listed it down below:
- Kroger Wild Strawberry Drink Mix price ranges $2-3
- Coconut Milk (original, sweetened, or vanilla flavor – do not choose unsweetened) price ranges $3-5
- Water in 16.9 fl oz (amount in a water bottle)
- Agave Syrup price ranges $4-5
- Freeze-Dried Strawberries price ranges $3-4
- Mason Jar and straw (optional) price ranges $3-4 each
- Spoon
Total cost ~ $15-21
Instructions
Step 1: Put the wild strawberry mix in the water bottle, close the lid, and shake up for the powder mix to completely dissolve into a bright pink hue.
Step 2: Get your mason jar (or any cup of your choice) and fill it with the liquid strawberry mix halfway (save the other half aside for later if you decide to want to add more).
Step 3: Next, add coconut milk to the mason jar and fill up the cup. Use a spoon to stir mixture well.
Step 4: Time to taste test! To add a little more natural sweetness, I add a bit of agave syrup (approx. 1/2 teaspoon). Feel free to add as much as you like (or even skip this step)! If you want to add more strawberry flavoring, use the leftover mixture from Step 2 to add to the drink and give a more pinkish hue.
Step 5: Lastly, add ice and freeze-dried strawberries at the top! Feel free to stir everything in the drink one last time before you taste!
I personally enjoy this homemade version of the Starbucks Pink Drink because I can easily make this within 5 minutes before work! It’s a great way to save a few dollars to recreate a popular drink item at home. If you tried this recipe, please let me know in the comments below! If you enjoy this post, I’m happy to do more recipes in the future.
