Many people agree that “beauty starts from within,” and one of the easiest ways we can do that it when we have healthy-looking skin. I admit that I am a huge fan of skincare (I mean, this blog post proves it), and while I do feel content with my skin, I wanted to find ways I can reflect that in my makeup (pun intended). When I think of healthy skin, I think of the words radiant, glistening, and glowy. With my everyday lifestyle, I always try to find ways my makeup can enhance my skin in that way.
As it became more of a routine, I started to notice a difference in how others have complimented my makeup. People would tell me my skin looks “perfect,” while my friends told me that “my skin never looked better.” I felt like it was important to share the simple ways in how I make my skin glowy without looking streaky or overdone. Have the Best Glowy Skin with 3 Simple Beauty Products
# 1: Get the Perfect Highlighter
I personally believe that finding the perfect highlighter will depend on your skin type, texture, and complexion. For my medium beige/oily combination skin, I personally prefer highlighters in a compact powder form that has a light champagne hue. I find that this shade helps me skin look more sun-kissed all season long without looking too icy when it shines against the sun. My highlighter from Becca Cosmetics in “Champagne Pop” really helps my skin look glowy in a natural way, and I believe it looks great with many skin types!
#2: Own a Radiant/Illuminizing Lotion
Whether it is a bronzing body oil or an illuminizing lotion, you will definitely notice the difference in the way your legs, arms, and neckline look when you apply it for days out in the sun! I know that many retail stores have affordable options, but I believe the best products can be found in either Sephora or Ulta. I really want to purchase the Sol Glow Oil next because the ratings are amazing!
#3: Buy a Multi-Dimensional Blush
After you applied highlighter and glow oil, you can blend it all with a fan brush or makeup sponge. To help blend the blush and highlighter together, I apply a multi-dimensional blush. A multi-dimensional blush, like the one from MAC Cosmetics, has a little bit of color to it, but it illuminates the original blush color in a subtly, glowy way. When you apply this product over the highlighter, it brings back a little color to your cheeks and prevents the highlighter from looking too streaky.
Glowy, illuminating skin helps tie your makeup all together in a radiant, “my-skin-but-better” way.
