A lot of things in my life had changed since my last trip. As I was ending the year of 2016, I decided to take a lot of risks in my career and personal life. With that said, I wasn’t able to travel and ended up cancelling a lot of my trip plans for the opportunities I was offered back home. During my time back at home, I was thinking about the travels I wanted to plan in 2017, and I instantly thought about LA. Los Angeles was a city I (shamefully) had never visited, which is sad, because I’ve gone to the Philippines, an island across the Pacific Ocean, more times than I have been to California.
Because I had such a great time in Honolulu last year (click here for the post), I decided to travel again this year to California in celebration for turning 24. The only problem was whether or not that trip was even possible with my hectic schedule. With the help of my friends and family, I was able to take a few days off to travel away for my birthday. When I heard the news that I was able to travel during January, I can’t even explain to you how excited I was to book a flight again. It’s amazing to know how much traveling has impacted my life since the beginning of last year. I knew that my trip to Los Angeles would be no less than amazing. Ressamazing, that is- ha!I was so glad to have stayed with Betty, Founder of Nomoon Travel and newfound big sister, during my short trip. She helped me explore around LA, and showed me the top spots and underrated places of the city. During my trip, I was able to visit Downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and West Hollywood within 2 1/2 days. Needless to say, the nonstop adventures in LA were worth it when I had realized that my trip was ending too soon, and I knew that Los Angeles was a place that I would need to visit more than once in my life. I hope you enjoy these exclusive photos from my LA trip, because I can’t help but smile at them.
LA, you were too beautiful, fancy, fabulous, and exciting for your own good. So happy to have started my travels in 2017 in California! If you want to know how I take travel photos, I also wrote an article on “Easy Ways to Look Fabulous in Travel Photos” for Nomoon Travel! Check out this travel company, because they are one of the few travel brands that curate trips and give proceeds to nonprofit global charities. I can’t wait to travel with them again in the future!
