With the amount of time I spend creating content in front of a camera, a bad hair day can’t be an option for me! Although hair genetics is part of it, I believe that maintaining a strong hair care routine is essential for an effortless travel lifestyle. For me, it’s hard to not go overboard with trying new hair products. However, I find value in refining my routine to make it as low-key as possible. Because of this, I wanted to finally share with you my favorite hair care tips, hair care brands, and types of products for travel.
MY FAVORITE HAIR CARE PRODUCTS FOR TRAVEL
Shampoo/Conditioner:
- Before showering, I brush through my hair to avoid hair clumping in the shower.
- During my shower, I have a shower tooth comb to comb my hair to ensure shampoo product distribution.
- I normally tie and wrap a towel over my hair after I shower to prevent hair falling or slipping from my towel.
- If you have a choice, naturally drying your hair is the best option!
Hair Care Products:
- Once your hair is damp, I apply hair oil and finger comb it towards my hair roots.
- I apply shine spray to make my hair look shiner and feel silkier.
- Before I wear any hat items, I apply static spray in my hair!
- I sometimes spray sunscreen over my hair to avoid scalp dryness!
Hair Tools:
- I tie my hair in pigtails, curl the ends, then remove the hair ties and finger comb to get more beachy waves.
- For a full curly hairlook, I section my hair into 3 tiers. To achieve this, I use plenty of hair clips and ties!
- I alternate in curling my hair in different directions to create a fuller, more voluminous look.
- To have great second-day curly hair, tie your hair in a bun to retain the shape and compression for curling.
Hair Accessories:
- Never underestimate to power of a hair tie! You can purchase more stylish hair ties to elevate a basic look, such as a ponytail.
- A square bandana is not just to wrap around necks, you can roll them into making it a hair tie!
- Double up your hair ties to prevent thick hair from falling out.
- Place your bobby pins with the flat-side upwards and criss cross them to keep your hair staying put.
