It’s the most wonderful time of the year, so of course we have to dress for the occasion! I teamed up with my ride or die photographer, Irene Santos, for this three-part fashion holiday series where I share a different outfit each week until the new year! Working with her on this collaboration was so much fun, that I’m so excited to finally feature it! This week, I’m showcasing an outfit that is Christmas chic with the bright, funky red and green fashion pieces. I love this unique look, and here’s how I achieve it:
First off, the shoes! Although they might be the most “basic” part of the whole look, I usually like mixing neutral pieces with bold outfits. These nude heels have been a part of my shoe collection for years because they have all the qualities I love: comfortable cushion insoles, the perfect heel height, a rounded toe, and a shiny shoe finish. Because I normally wear sandals throughout the year, I need a pair of heels that have a classic design, can look great in any outfit, and feel comfy, too! The nude heels balance out the colored pieces from the ensemble, making this outfit festive from head to toe. For this holiday season, I am loving these luxury nude heels here.
These bright red pants are hot! With the cold winter season, why not wear it to keep yourself warm? Being petite, I always find it frustrating to find a pair of pants that fit me. However, when I saw these Faded Glory red jegging pants, my whole life changed forever. Not only are they the perfect length, but the fit is amazing! I adore how the stretch of the pants feel really snug around the waist without it feeling restricted. Plus, the fabric is thick, so people hardly notice it’s a jegging pant. These pants are perfect for the holidays because red is such a festive color, and I opted for a bright, fire engine red hue instead of the warmer cranberry-red colors to make this outfit a standout for the holidays. These pants are currently available at Express here.
If the pants were hot, then the printed silk top is va, va, voom! This top is such a statement piece, that I knew it would be perfect for a holiday look! What I love most about this top is the retro, stripe/rectangular print. Along with the silk fabric, it’s such an eye-catching piece that is truly one-of-a-kind. A huge bonus is the relaxed fit of this top- you’ll feel super cozy while looking dressy at the same time! Although I purchased this top a few years ago in the Philippines, I found a top with a similar design here.
Lastly, I wore this olive green trench coat to complete the look! Vera Wang is one of my favorite designers, and her clothing line in Kohls is a dream come true. This coat is from one of her earlier collections, and I love everything about it! The details of this coat- from the button placements to the pleated sleeves- make this outwear piece so chic and trendy. It’s definitely a coat that you can wear for years and will never go out of style. Due to the green color, it does play off the holiday color scheme while it keeps you warm for the winter. While this coat is no longer available for the Simply Vera collection, I am loving this wool blend coat from the Landry collection here. After finishing the look, I wore some cute bangles before I head off for the holidays!
