Easy Stylish Ways to Reuse Spring Wardrobe Pieces
This spring season is the perfect opportunity to make your style 100% flawless.
Floral Dresses
Is it just me, or am I obsessed with floral dresses? I do think that every women has, at least at some point in their life, owned a floral dress. And while I adore every single type of flower and plant, I myself can feel like floral prints get outdated fast. However, floral dresses are the quintessential item that simply makes spring fashion so unique, and I am here to share with you some fun ways to restyle your floral dresses!
Tips:
- Instead of using an average belt, to experiment with using chains to shape your silhouette!
- Wear an oversized sweater or top over to disguise the dress as a skirt instead!
- Layer your dress with a tulle skirt! It would add volume to the bottom half of your body (sort of like a petticoat) and give your dress a more whimsical flair!
Oversized Sweaters
Oversized sweaters are a great way to style an outfit casually while keeping you cozy throughout the day. Now more than ever , I feel like loose sweaters are becoming more popular! Plus, I love that they can be worn for any occasion (think WFH life)! I personally think that loose oversized sweaters are perfect to pair with wide legged pants because it gives that casual look. However, there are a great variety of different ways to restyle your old sweaters!
Tips:
- Wear a slouchy sweater with high waisted or paperbag pants. It is the perfect combo that can make you comfy while still giving shape!
- I personally think crotchet or “holey” sweaters are fun to wear and you can wear a neutral bralette or tank top underneath. It can also be used as a coverup for the beach!
- Think of using your sweater as an accessory! Tie a sweater around your waist or around your neck to give your outfit a fun layering piece!
Ruffle Tops
I don’t care what anyone says, ruffle tops will always be stylish during the spring season. However, ruffled tops can sometimes look “too much” if they aren’t properly styled. Plus, I feel like ruffles can look outdated if you pair it repetitively with the same shorts, jeans, pants, etc. So, I’m happy to give you some extra tips to how you can dress your old ruffled tops to make it feel brand new!
Tips:
- Wear a neutral fitted long sleeve shirt underneath. It’s an exciting and fun way to style statement tops and I personally love how transitional it is for summer!
- Pair it with a sweater vest! Depending on where the ruffles are, you might be able to reuse your top with a sweater vest to add more color and keep you warm during the early months of spring.
- Tuck in those ruffles! Again, depending on where the ruffles are located, you can easily tuck in your top to help shape your body and give a more fitted and tailored look.
