Now that Fourth of July is here, everyone is head over heels for looking patriotic! It’s a great time to spend the holidays with friends and family, eat some good BBQ, and watch fireworks at night, so why not celebrate your love for the USA? I am sharing with you some quick beauty tips that are perfect for the Fourth of July! Let’s get started:
Wear SPF
If you are going outside, it is so important to wear makeup products that have SPF. No holiday is worth having sun burn, and because skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in America, sunscreen is incredibly crucial for any makeup look you’re wearing for the holiday. My favorite face product is the Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream because it not only has SPF 30, but it also has lightweight coverage that is perfect for the heat! Just keep in mind that you need SPF for your body and lips, too.
Wear red, white, and blue
For anyone that feels unsure about wearing colorful makeup looks, the Fourth of July is a perfect opportunity to create one! There will be so many people wearing American flag colors on their clothing, so wearing a red, white, and blue makeup look will make you stand out from the rest! So go ahead, try creating a smoky blue eye shadow look with white eyeliner or wear some red lips! I really love the MAC Ruby Woo lipstick because the shade is so flattering for all skin types and is long lasting. It is a product that will look great for the Fourth of July or can even be worn all year round.
Wear some glow
I am obsessed with all the highlighter products launching this summer, and it’s a great beauty trend that will make anyone look flawless for the Fourth of July! Even though I have an oily combination face, I use the highlighter to emphasize the high points of the face rather than keeping my face appearing greasy and flat. I really love the Becca x Jaclyn Hill highlighter in Champagne Pop because of the beautiful peachy shade and high quality pigmentation. When you use a fan brush to dust it on the top of your cheekbones, shoulders, and decollete area, it makes a huge difference with your makeup look.
Wear a makeup setting spray
Has your makeup ever melted off your face after a long outdoor event? Ever since I used a makeup setting spray like the Urban Decay All Nighter, it has helped prevent my makeup from melting, fading, or streaking. Plus, a makeup setting spray feels lightweight from the thin mist, and the formula keeps your makeup in place without your face feeling dry or sticky. So, keep a setting spray in mind when you’re attending a Fourth of July event where you’ll be planning on taking lots of photos!
Wear a braided hairstyle
Because most Fourth of July celebrations are held outdoors, it is a great opportunity to try out a braided hair look! From all the humidity and hot weather, hair can react differently from the heat by looking flat or frizzy. Getting a nice pair of hair ties can easily do the trick in managing a summer hair look! A braided hair look is a low maintenance way to look stylish while preventing your face from the sweat and oil buildup in your hair. One of my favorite braided hairstyles is the milkmaid braid because of how the braids frame around the face, which makes it great for any Fourth of July event you are attending.
