Growing up, I was always the “girly girl.” My favorite color was (and still is!) pink, I loved playing with Barbie, and always wanted to be a princess when I grew up. Now, you might think this is strange considering that I’m the only girl in my family, and most of my extended relatives in my generation are male. Still, not much has changed now that I’m an adult, and when I discovered this bright pink art wall, the inner princess-Barbie-girly feelings of my childhood were brought back to life. Needless to say, it completely inspired me to create this feminine pink outfit.
For my look, I kept it soft and feminine with my lace pink blouse. In person, the lace is so exquisite and delicate that I decided to show off the lace detailing by wearing a nude tank top underneath. I created a girly silhouette by wearing a white ruffled hem skirt that was fitted at the top, but had a hemline that flared out at the middle of the skirt that lengthened the midsection of my body frame. For shoes, I wore black booties that have a thick heel and a black strap around the ankle. The booties are perfect for almost any look and it’s perfect to wear for all seasons. Lastly, I finished the look with white beaded drop earrings and some rose gold cat-eye sunnies. The accessories were the perfect touch to this feminine, preppy summer look. Let me know what you think of this outfit and I’ll see you next time!
