October has finally arrived, and I’m already thinking about all the Fall activities taking place this month: costume shopping, pumpkin carving, candy eating, and maybe…a Texas road trip! First things first, I’m excited to wear some fall colors! When I visited a downtown park in Houston, I was shocked by the huge amount of blooming flowers surrounding me. By coincidence, I wore bright, contrasting colors that stood out from the garden backdrop.
Although I’m still wearing light fabrics, I incorporated Fall colors by wearing a burnt orange chiffon blouse with a pleated neckline and sleeves. I especially adored the tied bow in the front! With a nude tank top underneath, I tucked in the flowy blouse with a neon pink, lace skirt. I absolutely adore the vibrancy and feminine details of my skirt- such a striking contrast to my blouse! Not only did the clothing pieces look surprisingly bold together, the color scheme coincidentally fit well with the colorful garden setting!
Since there’s so much fabric detail in the blouse and skirt, I decided to not wear any jewelry for my outfit. Instead, I finished the look with my wedged heels that were kindly given to me as a gift from my trip in Manila. The strappy wedge really elongated my legs for a dressy look! I love how the shade of my wedges were similar to my blouse- it made the bold colors of the clothing pieces look polished.
All in all, I absolutely adored how colorful, girly, and fun it was for me to wear my outfit! I was surprised by the amount of compliments I received in person and from my social media (@reesarei). This outfit really inspired me to continue experimenting with my wardrobe pieces this month.
