To be completely honest, my love for shopping has dwindled every year since I started blogging. As much as I love fashion, the thought of splurging on a new pair of shoes doesn’t satisfy me as much as a trip to Tulum. The increasing influence of choosing experiences over material items has drastically changed on the amount of times I shop in a year. However, when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale begins, I think,”It’s finally that time of year again to invest in my style.”
If you haven’t heard of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it’s when Nordstrom offers 40-50% off discounts sitewide from new Fall and upcoming designer collections. Think of it as a huge clearance sale for clothes that are actually in season! Because I rarely shop, I’d rather invest in clothing with a classic design that’ll last for years. Now that I’ve been traveling at least once a month, it’s best that I’d find high quality pieces that can transition in most seasons. While I encourage you to buy what you please, I wanted to share my top favorite sale items that would benefit the lifestyle of a stylish traveler.

When choosing pieces, focus on three things: quality, design, and fit. “Will this piece last for years?” “Can this design transition from season to season?” “Does this piece flatter me?” “Will it make my life more efficient?” These questions should be asked the minute you look at an item. With the amount of amazing items included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it’s best to make sure you have a clear vision of essentials you need.
Write a list of items you want prior to searching the site and place them in your shopping cart. Prior to purchasing, evaluate each item! Then, look through your closet and check if you already own pieces that can create an outfit with your pending items. If you found out that an item ran out in your size or “sold out,” you can always check back within the next few days to see if they restocked.
