Traveling every month made me desire to explore my own city. Houston, one of the most populous cities in the US, has significantly grown within recent years. Even though I was born and raised in this city, it’s hard to keep up with all the new hotels and sightseeing spots! However, when I got the opportunity to check out the newest Houston Marriott CityPlace Hotel in Springwoods Village, I knew I had to share my experience with you!
Springwoods Village is the new up-and-coming community being constructed in northern Houston. While new businesses and apartments are being built, the community has strategically designed the layout in an eco-friendly way. Springwoods Village values sustainably maintaining the natural ecosystems of the surrounding area, so while you’re enjoying your luxurious stay, you can enjoy nature right outside your hotel.
Being surrounded within nature, I was excited to check-in my hotel reservation! The Houston Marriott CityPlace hotel has a very high-class lobby area that has stunning lighting fixtures with cozy, luxurious couches and colorful seating areas. While I would describe the layout of the hotel lobby area to be modern, I also enjoyed the rustic touches of the place! Decor pieces such as metal wired art pieces, wooden chests as counter tables, wooden window sliders, brick walls, and vintage rugs make the hotel lobby very artsy and truly eye-catching.
What I love about staying in Marriott Hotels is that the standard is always exceptional wherever you book.
I was so eager to finally enter inside my hotel room! What I love about staying in Marriott Hotels is that the standard is always exceptional wherever you book. So, I knew before accessing my room that it would be absolutely perfect. Needless to say, my single hotel room was spacious with contemporary-style amenities.
When I first stepped into the room, I noticed that there was a huge floor length mirror to my left side. I think some would consider it to be IG-worthy for mirror outfit selfies! On the right side, I opened the sliding wooden door to locate the bathroom area. The bathroom is the perfect size for one hotel guest. It has a modern look with its wooden flooring and counter space. I especially love the rain shower and the tall mirror in the bathroom! Overall, the bathroom’s contemporary design is minimalistic, clean, and beautiful!
After you exit the bathroom and continue forward with the walkway, it immediately leads to the living space, bedroom, and desk area. While I was excited to see the queen size bed and spacious desk counter space for all my tech gear, I completely fell in love the with window view of Springwoods Village! Looking at the lake, sunny weather, and greenery made my spirits so uplifted and brought me into a tranquil state. I felt so relaxed in my quiet space!
After resting in my hotel room, I wanted to explore the pool area! You can easily access the pool area on the left side of the conference room area in the lobby floor. My first impression when I saw the pool area was “Wow! I can’t believe you get this type of view in Texas!” The pool has an open view of the Springwoods Village lake. During the evening time, I noticed many hotel guests swimming and playing outside. I would consider the outdoor pool a huge highlight of the hotel.
For food, I highly suggest checking out SwitcHouse “Plates ‘N Pours” inside the hotel! The restaurant has such a charming, vintage ambiance that aligns with their stylish Texas cuisine menu. I decided to dine in for an early dinner after I stopped by the pool area. I ordered the SwitcHouse Rosewood Ranch Burger, potatoes, and their rice pudding! When eating my meal, I could tell that their ingredients were fresh and locally sourced. Each dish truly showcases the best flavors of Texas!
The Houston Marriott CityPlace in Springwoods Village is truly a sight to see! If you’re looking into having a relaxing, peaceful stay that’s surrounding nature, I believe that this hotel has those one-of-a-kind qualities. With the huge amount of conference and office space they have inside the hotel, I also think this hotel is especially ideal for those going on professional business trips. After my solo travel stay, I would consider the Houston Marriott CityPlace a perfect staycation to me. Let me know what you think about my hotel stay in the comments below! Special thanks to Houston Marriott CityPlace and PR team for the complimentary stay. Until next time!
