The Most Glamorous Hotels to Stay in Houston
Hotel Alessandra
Location: 1070 Dallas St, Houston, TX 77002
Listen, Hotel Alessandra left quite an impression on me when I was one of the first influencers to stay there at the end of 2017. Not only is it located at the heart of downtown Houston, but you definitely get a high-class ambiance the moment you step foot inside. The hotel design is contemporary with accents of marble and gold trimmings. You also get perfect views of Houston in the balcony and window area of your hotel room. Each hotel room has a bath tub, rain shower, touch screen iPads, HD TVs, and room service. The restaurants located inside the hotel are absolutely marvelous, and sometimes there is live music playing as well. If you want to step out of the hotel, guests can have complimentary driving service to any place in Houston with a 5-mile radius. If you want to visit downtown Houston, I truly recommend this place to anyone! For the full review, see here.
Hotel Icon Houston
Location: 220 Main St, Houston, TX 77002
If you want to stay in downtown Houston, but want a more historic, “Old Hollywood” type of experience, I can assure you that Hotel Icon Houston is the perfect choice for you. I love hotels that have an enriched history, and Hotel Icon Houston is a Union-National-Bank-turned-into-dreamy-luxury-hotel type of story. I love that this hotel still kept some of the beautiful designs of the original building architecture, like the clock above the elevator and sky high ceilings. But don’t worry, your experience still brings a contemporary feel. In fact, when I was staying in Hotel Icon – I apparently just missed Jennifer Lopez and her crew visiting here the day prior to checking in?! Most of the celebrities who perform at the NRG Center are rumored to regularly book Hotel Icon for their stays, and I can see why. Hotel Icon is central to the Houston’s Market Square Park. It’s a charming area to walk through during the day, and it’s the perfect nightlife scene in the weekends. Again, this hotel is another wonderful choice to book (even if you book for a mini staycation, Houstonians). For my full review, read here.
Royal Sonesta Houston
Location: 2222 W Loop S, Houston, TX 77027
Maybe you don’t want to stay in downtown Houston? No problem, then I’ll recommend staying in the Houston Galleria area. The Galleria area is the mecca for luxury shopping – so of course the hotels in this area are high class as well! I personally enjoyed my time in Royal Sonesta Houston, because it felt like I was right in the middle of where everything happened. Their bus services are complimentary, so you can easily get dropped off and picked up as you may please within the Galleria area. You can also check out amazing tourist spots – like the Williams Tower Water Fall. This contemporary-style hotel not only gives you the best location for shopping, but the room service menu here is quite amazing! I personally enjoyed their breakfast and dessert items, and you can order them at any time of the day. The most memorable thing about this hotel is that their service was extremely friendly. Even when I stayed there for 2 nights, the staff already called me by first name. Again, this hotel is worth your while booking (my full hotel review is here).
Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village
Location: 1200 Lake Plaza Dr, Spring, TX 77389
Outside of the Houston city area, there are still amazing luxury hotels awaiting you to stay. The Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village is one them! It feels like a luxury escape in the middle of nature – and it’s located in a new, progressive area in Spring, TX. My stay felt very tranquil as I walked around the hotel area and enjoyed the greenery around the Springwoods Village. I personally love how peaceful it is, yet there are a ton of amenities offered inside the hotel. I love the bar area since it has a 70’s style vibe, and the menu is always made fresh and flavorful. The pool area is truly the finest I’ve ever seen in all the hotels I’ve listed, and it’s the perfect spot to lounge and mentally relax. The Houston CityPlace Marriott is truly a must-see hotel whenever you visit the northern Houston area. Trust me – it will make you want to live there forever. My full hotel review can be read here.
Hotel Zaza Museum District
Location: 5701 Main St, Houston, TX 77005
Lastly, if you enjoy staying in artsy and colorful hotels, then you should consider staying in Hotel Zaza. Hotel Zaza is one of the most popular boutique hotels in Texas because it is known for its eccentric art decor pieces and extra fabulous services. The hotel consists of an outdoor pool, terrace, inside bar with princess-like hotel rooms for your extravagant stay. Hotel Zaza is also known for being a prestige spot for weddings, venues, private catering, and special events. When I think of Hotel Zaza, I think of Houston’s art and fashion scene because it is walking distance to the Houston Museum District. You can also easily access public transportation to a quick ride around the Houston city area. You will definitely live out a lavish life when you stay in Houston Zaza – even for a quick weekend trip.
