Busy in Pink- Work/Business Outfit

December has finally reached Houston, and it’s time to rock anything other than summer dresses! These past few weeks have consisted of nonstop labor, and I’ve been incredibly inspired to incorporate more color into my work outfits that don’t include red or green (don’t worry, Christmas outfits will be coming soon!). For now, I wanted to show a simple look that anyone with a 9-5 can wear for a bright, merry work shift any time of the year. Let’s begin!

For my shoes, I chose suede, wedged loafers in an incredibly gorgeous gray-toned color that is perfect for the workforce! I simply adore these shoes because they give me added height without compromising comfort. The inside of the shoe actually has a cushion pad on the arch area of the foot, so it really feels like you are walking on clouds! ​The blouse is a treasure that I recently found on sale at Forever 21! The floral, exotic print, the flouncy sleeves, the feminine, chiffon fabric, and the precious bow on the front make me adore everything about this statement clothing piece. When you have a corporate job, wearing layered pieces is key when adjusting from the cold weather to the office. Pairing this blouse with a solid tank top underneath make this blouse appropriate and stylish all in one. Although this blouse is no longer available in Forever 21, I found a similar piece here. For my slacks, I’ve chosen a gray pair of pants from Banana Republic that fit me so comfortably! What makes these slacks so unique is the skinny fit of the legs. I wanted the pants to be more fitted since the blouse has a slouchy fit, and I really like how the pants create a balanced silhouette. When finding a pair of slacks, always keep in mind that denim jean sizing and office pant sizing are different, so always be sure to try them on before purchasing! Since I’m petite, I was really impressed with the petite selection from Banana Republic and their variety in pant styles! I’m 5’3″, so the leg length of these slacks are a dream! Although Houston is getting colder, it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any sun! I enjoy my new fancy shades from a local boutique shop in Houston called Beehive. I am such a huge fan of pink shades, that when I saw these cool, hippie octagon sunglasses, my heart literally melted! These pair of sunglasses are perfect when you are walking to and from the job, especially when you are eating out for the lunch break!
