When I return home from a trip, I immediately resume the life I’d left off. Seeing wonderful sights and feeling so inspired by the people and culture around the world seems to create an invisible boundary line from the confinements of the old lifestyle and city in which I was raised. Although I keep changing as a person after every trip, the normalcy of my life back home seems to create an even thicker boundary from my never-ending travel bucket list. From working, managing my finances, and being there for my family, I never fully understood Houston’s charm in the eyes of a tourist. That thought changed when I was met with the opportunity to have a weekend staycation at Hotel Alessandra. Not only was it a chance to take a break from my everyday schedule, but it was also a recently new hotel that had the service, amenities, and luxury design that make you see the fancy side of Houston like never before.
For dinner, I had a treat dining at Bardot, Hotel Alessandra’s bar and lounge. The dim lighting and intimate atmosphere made me feel excited to try their lamb sliders, truffle fries, and sparkling champagne. Although they had plenty of seating areas at the bar and couch area, I decided to eat by the windows and check out the night view of Houston. Because I ate dinner in the later hours of the night, I pretty much had the whole restaurant to myself. The quiet scenery was the perfect touch to ending my night.During the day time, Lucienne, Hotel Alessandra’s restaurant, is open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch time. Although I was able to get a quick tour, I wasn’t able to dine due to the short amount of time I had in getting ready in the morning. However, the sleek oval shaped ceiling and Tiffany blue decor makes me wanna come back and dine soon.
My entire luxury staycation at Hotel Alessandra was incredible. While my stay felt super brief, I was surprised at how much I was able to experience. For anyone interested in booking, I highly recommend booking a reservation during special occasions, holidays (ahem….Valentine’s Day coming up!), and long-term stays in order to truly experience the hotel’s services at your own pace. The stay made me felt so rejuvenated from my normal lifestyle and fonder of my home city. Thank you so much to Hotel Alessandra for allowing me to stay at your beautiful establishment! If you enjoy this post, please be sure to share this on social media and send it to anyone interested in traveling to Houston. This hotel looks like a wonderful place to stay! So beautiful and luxurious! I have never traveled to Houston, or Texas, before, but it sounds like I will need to check out this hotel if I ever travel there! A staycation is fun too! What a great way to enjoy your city.

Oh! A staycation is everything. It’s even more special when you can do it at a hotel or spa. It really feels like a vacation away from home.
