We may all scream for ice cream, but I’m singing “hallelujah” when I find a trendy dessert place in Houston that gives me everything I’m looking for: high quality desserts with a super cute aesthetic. When I stumbled upon Flower & Cream online, I knew I just had to make a visit for myself in-person. Anyone who knows me personally knows how much I have a big sweet tooth. Luckily for me, Houston is the perfect city to eat ice cream all year long.
Flower and Cream Food Review
Flavors
Flower and Cream has opened since 2019, and ever since the business has started, they’ve been popularly known to bring families and friends together from their ice cream alone. Their artisan ice cream is made fresh in-house with locally sourced ingredients that are great for those who enjoy rich and delicious flavors. Their menu often changes from season to season, which makes customers keep coming back for more! However, I would even confess that their flavors are truly unique and one-of-a-kind. From flavors such as Unicorn Tracks to Kahlúa and Cookies, this ice cream menu can’t be replicated or found anywhere else.
When I made my visit, I seriously could not choose which flavor to try! Thankfully, the employees were incredibly sweet when it came to helping me make a decision. I ended up choosing the honey rose ice cream paired with a lavender flavored cone and chocolate sprinkles on top! While the combinations of flavors might sound unique, I really enjoyed the sweet naturally floral taste of both the ice cream and cone together. I could easily tell how natural tasting the flavor was, and I loved the sugar ratio – it was the perfect amount of sweetness for me without being too overbearing.
Shop Design and Aesthetic
If you are all about the dining experience, look no further! You’ll fall in love with the array of pink shades here and Flower and Cream’s modern chic design. The aesthetic of the ice cream shop was so welcoming to me that I knew I wanted to dine here once I made my order. If you view these photos, you can understand why!
Dining Experience
Another cool thing about Flower and Cream is that their design is truly playful, whimsical, and incorporates so much fun! When I saw that their ice cream shop had installed swings to dine by the window, I immediately gravitated towards this spot. Softly swinging while eating my ice cream cone made me super nostalgic from my times as a kid swinging and eating ice cream from my backyard. The swinging and eating experience is the 2.0 classy version.
