Halloween is right around the corner, and if it’s one thing I know about my platform, it’s that many of you are pet parents like me. For me, I own a sweet fox terrier/dachshund dog. When I’m not juggling with projects, work, and social media, I will 100% be spending quality time with my dog, Rajah. Best thing about our pet-owner relationship is that we both enjoy celebrating Halloween together.
In the past 3 years, I’ve had the pleasure of sharing our costumes with you online. In fact, some of the photos ended up becoming viral (ahem, thank you Pinterest). So, I’m dedicating a quick blog post about the fun and super easy costumes ideas that I’ve come up with my dog throughout the years that are iconic Halloween ideas for you to try. Hope you enjoy!
Easy Last Minute Halloween Ideas for You and Your Pet
Scooby Doo and Velma
Make your Halloween year a mystery with this fun Scooby Doo and Velma costume! I felt like this was a super easy costume to recreate since my dog didn’t need any clothing – just the dog tag attached to the collar. Then, for my costume, it was easy to use clothes I’ve already owned + online shop for the rest of the pieces. The finishing touch was my glasses, and I was ready to go! For complete details of how I created this costume, click here.
Elle Woods and Bruiser from Legally Blonde
You don’t need to be blonde in order to be Elle Woods, friends. Simply recreate an iconic fashion look from the movie, and then you are golden! It may take some DIY’ing for your pet’s costume in order to make it look exactly like Bruiser. However, I can assure you that the finishing assemble is insta-worthy and super stylish, too. Dorothy and Toto from Wizard of Oz
Last but not least, you can follow the yellow brick road with your pet as you dress up like characters from the Wizard of Oz! The costume idea is pretty popular, but what makes it iconic is that everyone has their own spin to it. I share the complete details of my costume here, but you can easily find clothing pieces that could be found in your closet already. Best part? Your pet doesn’t need to wear anything for this costume!
Which of the three costumes ideas were your favorite? Let me know in the comments below! Stay tuned for this year’s costume idea in my fashion posts soon! For now, check out all the other fashion, lifestyle, and travel content I have on my social media:
