Rarely do I ever travel to a city twice in a year, but there was something about the mountaintop views along the Denver cityscape that made me want to come back sooner than later. In fact, for this trip, I decided to explore outside of the downtown area and ended up spending the majority of my time in the LoHi district.
The LoHi district in Denver is arguably the trendiest neighborhood in the city. In recent years, LoHi is home to some of the top rated restaurants and museums. It also plans to continue building new apartments every month from the growing population. During my trip, I remembered being in awe of this chic neighborhood. I loved surrounding myself with tall brick buildings, industrial-style interiors, and strolling by tranquil park areas. Within the 3 days I visited, I understood why LoHi is adored. LoHi has a little bit of everything that anyone can enjoy.
While I was staying in LoHi, I had the amazing opportunity to partner with Stay Alfred in experiencing their chic travel apartment in the Centric LoHi property. The apartment provides 2 bedrooms, 1 full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 closets, living area, patio, and washer & dryer. My apartment felt very spacious, contemporary, and oozed lots of charm. The 24/7 service and amenities are the perfect blend of both a hotel + vacation rental experience! Conveniently, it was walking distance to some of the my favorite sightseeing spots in LoHi.
WHAT TO SEE IN LOHI, DENVER:
The Bindery
1817 Central St, Denver, CO 80211
At the corner of my Stay Alfred Centric LoHi apartment, you’ll find that The Bindery has everything you would ever want in a coffeeshop. While it may look small from the outside, this cafe has a huge seating area, bar area, and a breakfast/pastry counter. I loved viewing all the various baked pastries lined up in the clear glass display while I was deciding my order. In the end, the pumpkin scone and cappuccino were what I chose! Whether you decide to dine or bring your breakfast to-go, I believe that you’ll appreciate the unique roast flavor and fresh ingredients used in their food and coffee options.
Commons Park
2101 15th St, Denver, CO 80202
Walk 10 minutes to the Highlands to check out this beautiful park! Commons Park, in my opinion, has the best view of downtown! Plus, the changing leaves and flowing river makes this spot perfect for Fall and Spring. The mini walk paths are great for joggers, pets, and those who want to take the scenic route home. Because the park hours are from 5 AM – 11 PM, locals and tourists can easily make time in their schedule to see the beauty of Commons Park!
Postino
2715 17th St, Denver, CO 80211
Want some brunch? Please stop by Postino for their delicious salads, sandwiches, and soup. Their industrial-rustic decor has a great ambiance for friends and family to enjoy. This Italian cuisine restaurant is famous for their bruschetta and wine, and the pricing is excellent during happy hour! If you go to the outdoor seating in the back of the restaurant, you can enjoy their garden area, the strung lights, and live music. All in all, the food and service is perfect to experience during your stay.
Avanti
3200 N Pecos St, Denver, CO 80211
If you never went to Avanti, did you really go to LoHi? This collectively eatery is considered the #1 spot for night life in the neighborhood. Avanti is a contemporary-style vendor market that has a wide variety of food vendors in the first floor that consist of Mexican, Asian, Italian, and American cuisine. In the second floor, you can access the bar area and outdoor patio. You might occasionally hear local music from DJs and Denver-based music groups and lots of young adults socializing. When I walked around the outdoor patio area, I can easily say it has the best view of the Denver skyline out of all the bars in LoHi. I 100% recommend checking out Avanti if you’re ever in Denver!
Williams and Graham
3160 Tejon St, Denver, CO 80211
For a one-of-a-kind experience, I would check out Williams and Graham. This is not just any bar, it’s a prohibition-era speakeasy that is located behind the corner of their bookstore. This speakeasy is perfect for those who want a more intimate setting but also open to try out speciality cocktails. Out of all the bars I’ve went to in the USA, this place has the most interesting cocktail names and surprising flavors. When I visited this secret bar with my friend, I ended up getting a drink that is called “Good Morning My Dear.” Needless to say, it was a fruity cereal concoction that had apple jacks as a garnish! The 1920’s vibe of the place and good company made this place easily land at the top of my list.
Highland Arch Bridge
QX5R+6C Denver, Colorado
Want to take a little stroll right past LoHi? The beautiful Highland Arch Bridge is close by the Highland area! It was a beautiful moment when I crossed the bridge alone, because I was able to see the hustle and bustle of the streets below me. With the loud noises, I found this spot to be very tranquil and beautiful for photography. This bridge is located in a central part of Denver.
Did you enjoy any of the places I recommended? Let me know in the comments! Again, I thank Stay Alfred in partnering with me in sharing my favorite spots in LoHi Denver! I would not have been able to have seen so much of the neighborhood without the accessibility of it being walking distance to my travel apartment. Keep watching for more of my travels in Denver on my social media. Until next time!

I haven’t been to Denver or Colorado but I do believe I would enjoy the places you recommended. I would have to start with The Bindery, for coffee of course, and go to other places.
