For the past four years, I have been traveling solo during my birthday. In fact, it was what brought me to start travel blogging in the first place. From being in Honolulu, LA, and Denver, I decided to go for a US destination that really exemplified style, charm, and beachside fun. For me, Palm Beach was everything I was looking for in celebrating my 26th birthday. But let’s get real for a minute…..
The cons to having a birthday in the middle of January:
- Everyone is broke from the aftermath of the holidays.
- People tend to forget your birthday because of the aftermath of the holidays.
- The weather is generally too cold to do anything.
The pros of having a birthday in the middle of January:
- Flights are cheaper.
- Many destinations are in low peak season.
- Many business offer beginning of the year discounts to hotels, tours, etc.
Because my birthday month is the ideal time to travel, I’ve always felt the need to begin my coming-of-age milestone by exploring a new place solo. Throughout the years, many people have asked what I normally do while I’m traveling solo, so I am happy to exclusively share my 3-day birthday itinerary in Palm Beach, FL.

Your birthday itinerary looked like a lot of fun. My birthday is in November so it is the start of the holiday craziness so it can get missed, sometimes me.

I’ve never been to Palm Beach or much of Florida for that matter. I’ve only ever been to Orlando. One day I should do a Florida tour. I’d love to see the keys.

This is so awesome – I’m also a huge fan of solo getaways on my birthday 🙂 Recently I went to the South Coast here in South Africa – too awesome 🙂
